To ensure financial stability for priests and Granthis in Delhi, the Delhi government has introduced the Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana. As part of the scheme’s launch, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited a temple near Kashmiri Gate to initiate the registration process for priests, while Minister Atishi inaugurated the registration for Granthis at a Gurudwara. Under this scheme, eligible priests and Granthis will receive a monthly honorarium of INR 18,000. However, the financial benefits will be disbursed only to selected beneficiaries after the Aam Aadmi Party secures victory in the Delhi elections.

Objective of Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana

The Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana aims to improve the financial well-being of priests and Granthis in Delhi.
